In Passing ~ I was coming home from work the other day This wonderful peice of sunshine caught my eye! Isn't it spectacular! I wanted to talk myself into YET... another couch for my porch, sadly I just will have to take the loss! (No room! really!)
But It's one of those pieces you could see yourself enjoying on a nice warm night on the front porch! *sigh*
Where can you find such adorable finds??? If you find yourself visiting the Starved Rock Area (LaSalle) in Illinois, Do yourself a favor and Check Out Canal Cargo! They also have many brands of DIY paint! Something I need to quit buying (Someday in the future! LOL)

Back again to my Favorite Market! Hello. St Louis
Well, once again it was a great day and the booths were as beautiful as the weather~!
Just thought i would share a little bit of Heaven that was at the St Louis Vintage days market.
I do have to say this is my favorite for a few very good reasons. the booths are set up so that you can move.... Very Important!!! I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SEE IT ALL! the quality of the stuff for purchase is what I expected, I hate when markets get to commercial, If I wanted commercial I would go to the mall! Truly this market will not disappoint. I like that there was far more vintage than crafts, I being the pack rat that I am WANT goodies I can use. If there is a craft I want stuff I can't make! Just as SIMPLE as that.
I couldn't help but take a selfie in this great mirror adorned with succulents!
This The Chicken Coop's booth and was by far one of my favs! They make the coolest farm tables! If only I had the room right now!
Wonderful fall displays! Something so picturesque about this booth!
Sweetest headboard ever! Isn't this just a different piece! It might be the one time I am actually tempted to put a head board in front of a window! Imagine waking up the the sight of dancing colored lights in the morning! BELLA!
yes, I have a complete Door fetish! Unfortunatly I missed this goody! But next best thing I snapped a pic!
I couldn't resist the color carnival of this mirror shot! Nothing says Fall more than this!
Insanely beautiful chair!!!
If this booth didn't have so many people trailing me I coulda had another mirror selfie with that gorgeous chandelier ! Yep it was a mirror Selfie kinda day..... not sure why!
If you ever have the chance to go to a Market this is the one I would recommend to try! Most booths take cards with the square However, I would definatly bring some cash just in case!

Our Past voyage.....
Where would you find a second hand junkie????
we are always on a quest for the coolest most unusal finds EVER!
So when my oldest daughter and also a frequent flier of second hand miles suggested A trip to the Vintage Market in St Louis Mo.!!! Well, I was sooo there!
Seriously How can you pass up such a world of delectable eye candy???? What a truly wonderful place to visit! and to add to my cursed ways almost all of these vendors use the SQUARE, Curse you tiny square you make my purchasing much more accessible! I only take cash to try to curb my spending.....
Yeah.... well the buck didn't stop there! Cause I am one of those people who says Why give up my cash if I can use this sweet little plastic card!
Yep.... that's bad!
However, I didn't go freak with it, but I did buy more than my usual allowance!
Bad Girl!
This fine vintage Market had pretty much everything from A to Z and although I think Annie Sloan paint is awesome! There was way too much painted this and that! If the Wood is Good! For the *lOvE* of god DON'T PAINT IT!!!! Rub that bad boy with some Murphy's oil soap and ENJOY! and that is from someone who enjoys covering some ugly pieces of furniture and frames with Annie Sloan and Vintage Market and Design paint my friends! *Note* When Using the wax PLEASE save money and buy the Annie Sloan it is so much better and coats the pieces far better... Sorry Vintage Market and Design! You do have some really beautiful and rocking colors though!
http://anniesloan.com/ http://www.vintagemarketanddesign.com/
As you can see they have alot of detail minded dispalys that make you want to take the stuff home! Good thing I have a camera.... Some would call me a cheater BUT I'm not the only one! OK. bad use of a great song! But you get my point, I have to keep my need for neat stuff or my hoarderistic ways to a happy roar!
And for you crafty people who have quite the stash OR are working on one! Hell, we are always working on one! Who am I kidding, Right? I have yet to visit (Next time I'm in St Louis visiting the oldest) BUT have imagined good things there is http://www.upxchange.com/ this looks kinda dangerous!
And also check out her blog! she has more Vintage fashion with Bringing up Bust Form

Pretty little things
I was always into Vintage... however, my oldest child in the past few years has me looking for cool and unusual vintage jewelry pieces that I never would have looked twice!
However since they make my clutches I am no longer giving them to her! hahaha poor girl
I the woman who really didn't like jewelry before now adores some of the pieces I have found and haggled for! Like this gorgeous leaf choker! found in one of the many vintage shops I have scoured it's a lovely yet very light weight piece.
Another I adore is the floral piece she gave me! this bad boy is a lot heavier
I like that it's all mismatched and on, it looks very unique indeed!
Anyway, this is very much the tip of the iceberg and I just wanted to show off two lovely finds.
Later I will put up some pieces I will be willing to part with! Along with some other fun finds!
I need to thin out my treasure chest of collective finds.... and so why shouldn't others benefit while I'm trying to unattach myself from my pretty little things! Stay tuned!

I'm addicted!
My god where to start! Well, I'll just blurt it out! I LOVE second hand stuff! I love to go to resale, thrift. Garage sales, flea markets, Antique shops, Antique malls, Vintage anything I AM THERE!!! .... anywhere I can get cute stuff for a small price! Where did it start? I so blame Chicago! I got my first real taste while in college there. ok. maybe that isn't entirely true I did like flea markets when I was young I still have this wonderful old frame I got for a few bucks (back when I was about 8) and will never part with til it's pried from my dead cold fingers!!! However, I would throw a hissy fit if someone would even mention going to a Garage Sale! Crazy kids! anyhoo....
Don't you just LOVE the neat stuff I can get for practically nothing it sure beats paying full retail! and basically the older the more unique the item, lets face it not many things are left standing unless it was tucked away in someones closet for the last century! and 9 out of 10 these things were made to last unlike today's throw away theory of making merchandise!
Plus who doesn't just like to relax by takeing a day going out and going to random cute shops and searching for that one small thing that could cheer up your whole day???
Lately, I figured going out and taking a walk on my lunch was a good way to get exercise and to visit area shops! Mind you not all were vintage shops but who could really resist! right!
Plus the artist in me was takeing pictures of things I could use in my digital montages so I have dual purpose!!!! To the left is a sweet shop she is more retail that looks vintage BUT... due to the lovely quality of" The Lofts" goods it's still some happy eye candy!
these wonderful flowers and these vintage lanterns who could resist but to soak them in! Plus to add to the ambiance alot of the buildings here are made with limestone that was mined here a hundred years ago. they are the coolest walls ever and as you can see only make older vintage-ish things more enticing!
I would so kill to have a Apt or home with these kind of stone walls in it! Let's face it todays stuff is nice BUT nothing can beat the look of this wonderful old masonry! and yes, I am a sucker for old doors the more beaten or ornate the better!!! Alot of these jems still exist here and no one tends to truly appreciate them but me! How many people take the time to truly stop and look at everything around them everyday, OR go out to explore if only for a short (HOT) afternoon walk??? I mean seriously... How fabulous is this door! I think I am near one of the richest alleys in the world! Of course to most it would look like a broke down beat up walk to your death... (only if dark! lol.) But old doors and signs as well as older ornamental architectural decoration like old rusty stars still adorn it and make the walk that much more enjoyable to me at least! Anyway, I am sure you think I am just insane...
and to finish off my short but hApPy walking tour I did finally come out of my state of AwE and meandered into Mickey's Massive Burrito! (No, I am not much for burritos, sadly I am NOT into rice... however there's are very worthy of the name the things are insanely HUGE! I think if I could deal with the rice..... I would love them too!
Hey! and guess what the dining area GREAT ViNtAgE appeal! You wouldn't be able to guess that drew me in right?! I mean check it out! is this not sweet!
The front is rather Modern.....
However, inside is rather quarky (signs on the wall: A Taco a day keeps the Doctor away....
Got the Blues Eat a Burrito!
Mickeys's most wanted.
and Burritos Rock!
there are old metal signs and wonderful Photographs for your viewing pleasure....
Plus not to mention you can get Fanta Rootbeer and RC! What is not to love!
Plus I am totally addicted to their grub!
This just happens to be their steak Quesadillas!
yes, it was jumbled around from my walk... but it still looks yummy! and yep, tastes as good as it looks too!
and yes.... I got very weird looks from the people in the lunch room for taking pictures of my food before I ate it.....
Doesn't everyone do that????
Anyway, go check out Mickeys site! http://www.mickeysmassiveburritos.com/
Now that I made you hungry I will see you later alligator! Chow!
